Attention Brainwrap Clients:
I'm writing to inform you of two email-related (but completely separate) issues which may have been impacting you over the past few days:
1. The mail server has been temporarily blocked by AOL due to their system falsely red-flagging the server as sending spam. This is a known, industry-wide problem with AOL and is likely related to a few client email accounts that were set up to forward messages to a personal AOL account (in other words, setting up email@companyname.com to forward to companyname@aol.com). There's nothing wrong with forwarding emails to 3rd-party accounts, but AOL doesn't like this and has been known to blacklist mail servers that do so. Here's a few links that discuss the problem:

I'm in contact with AOL right now and working with them to get the server unblocked, but in the meantime, you may have difficulty sending messages from your hosted email account to someone with an AOL.com, AIM.com or Netscape.com email address. I have also contacted all clients who have AOL-forwarded email addresses about the issue; in the future, I'm afraid I won't be able to allow email to be forwarded to AOL accounts due to their blanket policy against doing so.
Until this issue is resolved (hopefully within the next day or so), if you have any messages to send to someone with an AOL account, I would advise using a 3rd-party email account to send it.
2. An unrelated internal technical issue is temporarily causing messages sent from your hosted email accounts to not be received by Elisabeth or myself at our Brainwrap.com accounts.
Again, I expect this to be resolved very soon, but until then the workaround is even easier: Until further notice, to reach Charles, send mail to his personal account, charles.gaba@gmail.com. To reach Elisabeth, send mail to her alternate address, egarbeil@efg-consulting.net.
I apologize for the inconvenience and will update you as soon as either (or hopefully both) issues have been resolved.
Sincerely,
Charles Gaba
Elisabeth Garbeil
