Dear Brainwrap Client:
Over the past few years, Brainwrap has developed many of our client's sites to be "responsive" or "mobile-friendly", meaning that the website content reformats itself to be optimized for viewing on iPhones, Android Phones and other mobile devices. Until now, we've handled this on a case-by-case basis, upgrading/overhauling older sites to be responsive as it's come up in conversation.
(In fact, until now even our own site at Brainwrap.com hasn't been mobile-friendly (the shoemaker's children going barefoot and all that).
However, recently, Google announced that going forward, they will be giving preferential treatment in their search engine rankings to websites which are optimized for mobile devices.
Non-responsive sites will still be listed on Google, of course, but they'll effectively be given second-class status.
With this in mind, we wanted to let you know that Brainwrap is prepared to work with you to make your site mobile-friendly. Some sites will require only a few hours of work; others will require complete overhauls/upgrades; the rest will be somewhere in between.
We've already discussed the responsive design issue with some clients; if not (or if you have further questions), please feel free to contact either Elisabeth (810 560-7181, email egarbeil@brainwrap.com) or myself (248 545-7570, email cgaba@brainwrap.com) to discuss the process further.
As always, please feel free to contact us with any other questions, concerns or requests.
Thank you for your continuous patronage,
Charles Gaba
