Brainwrap: 5 Big Changes for 2014

First: We've reviewed the original hosting terms of service agreement that you may have signed many years ago and have completely updated it for 2013. This covers a range of issues such as agreeing not to upload malware, pirated software, pornographic content and so forth. In the near future, I'll be sending a copy of this agreement to all hosting clients; please sign & return it even if nothing else changes with your account.​

Second: We're happy to report that starting on January 1st, most hosting packages will be upgraded with a 50% server space increase (along with some other specification improvements) at no additional charge! This may (or may not) impact clients who came to Brainwrap from Four-Point/LCMI last winter, depending on their situation.

Third: Brainwrap is now accepting credit card payments for recurring services, including website hosting, SSL certificates, domain name renewals, Drupal CMS maintenance, remote backups and so on. Starting in January, recurring service payment options will be: Monthly by credit card, Annually by credit card or Annually by check. Brainwrap is phasing out quarterly payments.

Fourth: Just as a reminder, Brainwrap now offers dedicated Mobile App Development for both iPhone and Android Smartphones via our easy-to-use BrainwrAPPS platform! And yes, app hosting can also be paid for via monthly or annually credit card payments as well as by annual check. Our first BrainwrAPP launched recently to much acclaim; be on the lookout for our second one coming soon!

Fifth: For Ecommerce clients, Brainwrap is also now offering PCI Compliance Scanning. This is a fully-managed scanning service that verifies your servers compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard. PCI Compliance is a single security standard which is required to accept credit card transactions from major credit card companies. PCI Compliance certifies that your organization takes all necessary steps to protect sensitive customer data.
